Half way through escrow

People told me escrow is nerve-wracking and "don't count your money until the check is in hand"--I'll admit it, I didn't believe them. Well, from experience let me tell you--escrow is nerve-wrackign and don't count it done til the money is in hand. Our first escrow fell through on Day 17. Day 17 was the final day of the "inspection period"--prior to this happening, I hadn't paid attention to that little clause. Our buyer had buyer's remorse and decided he had offered too high a price. I wouldn't have been as upset had it just been that the constractors costs were too high or he didn't like the pest report...no, they decided to try and bargin the price after the fact...and when not in competion with two other potential buyers.

This escrow is going well. Our inspection period was only 10 days this time and no issues thus far. It is finally seeming real that we will actually be living in our RV sometime in the near future--seeing all your furniture stacked in storage helps this vision of reality.
